Utah ranks 12nd in size8 with 82,168 sq. miles of land, and Salt Lake City is the largest city. Utah also ranks 34th in population8 with 2,233,169 residents (2000 est.), and Salt Lake City is the state capital. The official bird of Utah is the California Gull, and the official flower is the Sego Lily.
